We finished the second day of our introduction to group schema therapy four day certification training for 2026. We have a lovely group of 21 psychotherapists representing 11 countries:: USA, UK, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Serbia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Germany, and Ireland.

We have had fun practicing together and watching old videos of Ida and I when we were first developing group chemotherapy and the DVD that we made in Germany in 2010 with the support of Gerhard Zarbock and his institute IVAH. It was fun seeing our old friends playingpatients with borderline personality disorder. I did cringe at some of the interventions as we've advanced a lot in 15 years. However, it does make the point that you don't have to do things perfectly to have a good outcome. We are looking forward to the second two days coming up February 27 and 28. The fourth day is the self practice/self reflection day where therapist get to experience what it's like to be in a chemotherapy group for a day.

Advanced group Schemo therapy is coming up in March 27, 28th and 29th. See the group s schema therapy page for more information and an application form.

We offer the introduction and advanced segments of certification training only once a year, so don't miss your opportunity to join this foundation training by the people who developed the modality and trained most of the other trainers in group schema therapy.
